I think I can confidently say that Dystopian is just isn't for me. I wanted to finish reading this series because I wanted to know what happened.

I had a major revelation while reading this book. I no longer enjoy reading morally grey MCs. I've changed a lot since a few years ago. Not as much as I did before. I'm a little disappointed because I genuinely do think that morally grey characters are important and bring critical complexity that non-morally grey characters just lack. However, I've found that for present me, reading from the POVs of morally grey characters just exhaust and bore me. I really hope I'm mistaken but change happens.

I think the pacing also demotivated me. The ending was not bad at all though.

I feel like I vibed with this one less than the other two but still a worthy entry. The last line goes so hard.

There's no much to add from the previous books, to be honest.

It lost me at some point, when the Holo was introduced. But I reconnected with it after it, I even shed tears alongside Katniss. Felt her losses.

Would have loved to live a little more in their new world, but that wouldn't feel much like an ending, would it.

Anyways, I absolutely loved this series. I love Peeta, and I love Katniss, and I want them to live as happy as they can be.

The ending off this trilogy definitely did not disappoint! This entire story went from one girl making a decision to call bullshit on the stupid rules of a cruel game created by horrible people to becoming the reluctant mascot for an entire uprising. What I loved even more was the fact that the rebellion was also seen as a morally bankrupt organization at times. Watching her go from becoming a puppet for the Capitol to a puppet for the rebellion was depressing but so realistic. I know that the epilogue is a disputed part of the book, but I actually really liked it. I liked that Katniss was able to have a life that would have been robbed from her if she had not thought to lift those berries to her lips at the end of the first book.

This is the fastest I have ever started and finished a book: 2 days (1: 118p 2:350p)

Just the fact that this took me by the neck and held me there until the very end is incredible and not something I would ever have thought this book was gonna do. I know the movies, I loved them growing up and all in all there wasn't THAT many changes from book to movie but still I just kept turning and turning and turning the pages until I sat in my room at 1am absolutely destroyed and sobbing my eyes out. I LOVE THIS BOOK= Everlark (KatPiss) forever!

This book perfectly encapsulates what it’s like to live through a war you never intended to start. It is incredibly dark and has just enough plot twists without going over the top. The main characters are put through the ringer in this book, even more so than the past two. We see how dangerous power can be, no matter who is holding it and the costs that come with overthrowing the government.
This book is definitely much slower than the others because we focus more on Katniss and what is happening around her than the plot itself. But I would not say it’s boring by any means. It is a devastating finale to The Hunger Games trilogy in which we learn that the things we want most may come with the ultimate sacrifice.
