Volume 6 is more my style, from start to finish. I'm starting to think that the epilogue in the previous book was supposed to be a joke, like those comical dramatic moments you might find in an anime, but it was written so seriously that it just...did not come across as one... Let's just say volume 6 seems to take things back on track.
I love the comedy in the prologue 😂
The side pairing wasn't one I saw coming until the previous volume, but ever since it's been hinted at, I've been a supporter of it. They're just so cute together. I hope it goes well between them! The cast continues to grow with the story, and we see new places in the capital.
Interestingly, we didn't see Maomao with Jinshi much in this book, but it worked out just fine for the plots. Yes, plots. Many interwoven plots.
