Disappointing resolution, but neat to see a non-white side of London in the era.
Still enjoy following the main characters and their development within this series. The next book will certainly show some changes in the plot - looking forward to it.
Exactly what I've come to expect from Miss Maisie. Sometimes I wonder why I continue to read this series. Maisie drives me a little nuts at times. She's like a friend who asks you for advice and against your better judgement you give it to her, she nods her head intelligently and tells you what a good point you've made and then proceeds to change not a blasted thing! But a friend is a friend after all and no matter how insane they make you (and in this instance it's a bit one-sided because usually if it's one of the better relationships you make each other insane) you just have to stick around for more... and odds are I will stick around for more.
