10th book in the series. Wrapped up and summarize the first 10 books really neatly and could've been the end, but I know there are more ahead (at least nine so far?) To be honest, you're not the best books, the characters are all very one dimensional, and the depiction of anyone non-white is extremely tokenizing. But I'm such a sucker for plucky lady mysteries, so I might keep going.
Loved it. Maybe the best Maisie so far! I would have thought this was the last Maisie Dobbs novel If I did already know there were more books in the series. I'm so glad there are more!

Much better than the last two. I also liked that it was much more diverse.
The Maisie Dobbs series gets more compelling and emotional with each book! Book #10 ends on a bit of a cliffhanger, and makes me hopeful that the next book will be out soon.

Maisie Dobbs is one of my favorite series, and "Leaving Everything Most Loved" does not disappoint. Along with trying to find the killer of a woman from India, Maisie is also facing some life decisions. While I enjoy the mystery aspect and Maisie's methods to solve a case, the characters are what really make this a great series for me. I love the time setting too, this book takes place in 1933. This book did feel like somewhat of an ending, I'm not sure where Ms. Winspear is heading with the series, but I hope it continues to be an enjoyable ride.
I thought I had this one figured out and I definitely did not! Trying to figure out what was missing and how all the pieces connected together made for one of my favorite Maisie Dobbs novels yet--and I'm excited to see what happens next!
3.5 Stars. It lagged a little, and yet at the end I was a bit teary. Will I keep reading the series? Of course.
I liked this more than many of the previous ones. Good luck Maisie!
