Trigger warnings for this book. Kidnapping, tortures, rape of multiple young women. Hard to read in one sitting due to the emotional trauma your body will go through. Probably not something to read to relax yourself or to go to bed. I wish I would have read reviews for this book before I actually got it. I definitely could have lived happily without this book. Definitely brought my physical + spiritual energy down(if you care about that.) this is literally the first review I've ever left for a book and i've read a TON, it was too much.
I will say, I had to read this book for a book club, I didn't want to show up
to the meeting and not have something to say. Not really my type of book and probably made sure l won't read one like this again. If the curiosity, gruesomeness, darkness and having trust issues is your thing might be a good read.

Listened on Libby. Claire’s husband is murdered suddenly and she is reunited with estranged sister Lydia to learn that dead husband led a dark double life. Enthralling listen but very dark and kind of long.
