2 of 5 stars!
I just disappointed with this books and it is below my expectation. I thought i can know more and got sympathized with Cal's Mother (Queen Coriane) but unfortunately it didn't. I can't feel my excitement to know more about her.

Honestly, my biggest criticism of Queen Song is that it was way, WAY too short. This story probably should have received its own novel, but it works fine as a novella.
Not much new information. The short story moved very quickly. There wasn’t as much about her connection to the prince as I expected. Nor was there really any insight. I think it best that I just leave this series as is.
Eh. This was alright. It adds some background to the overall story but was kind of boring, and I didn't think Coriane was a terribly interesting character. I definitely felt bad for her, and the ending was pretty good . But this isn't really a necessary read unless you're a hardcore [b:Red Queen|17878931|Red Queen (Red Queen, #1)|Victoria Aveyard|https://d.gr-assets.com/books/1411472322s/17878931.jpg|25037051] fan.

and further cements the fact that Elara is an evil bitch, but we knew that already
i will never not cry after finishing this book. only my second time read and i still can’t get over that ending
I initially really excited to learn more about Cal's mom, but I felt like this was somewhat disappointment. Pacing of the novella was really awkward and the story didn't fit the close third perspective. I didn't really get that she and the prince (Tibe) were really much of a match. I was kind of confused what brought them together. And the end made no sense. I think it was hastly written and not well thought out. A little disappointing. One of the reasons I liked it was Julian and Sara. 3
Ehh
It wasn't bad but it left me wanting more, and not in a good way. Novellas should be short but this skimmed over details too much.
