Wow, I'm shocked. I actually think this is my favorite novella for any series I've read. Simply because I generally have a difficult time becoming interested in the secondary charters' stories or additional content...I struggle to finish novellas. This story however, left me wanting more! I was enthralled with Corrianne's story. I was sad to know what happens in the end (from reading the Red Queen), but it was still worth reading. Everyone deserves their story told and I want more of hers!

This was a nice accompaniment to the Red Queen series and provided good background characterization to flesh out the story. It was well written and filled a gap in understanding how some of the royal families and traditions in Aveyard's created world think. I wish this had been worked into a longer story, it was very short even for a novella. Adding just a couple more scenes could have given us even more detail.
