I liked the banter. The plot was a little silly, especially the villains. And I really didn’t need the ending with everyone’s happily ever after for the rest of their lives. Not necessary. And I felt like a little too much focus was put on Min’s fatness. But otherwise I really liked the book.

Nov 2019 re-listen as part of my Jennifer Crusie commute on Audible. Strongly struck this time by how a 33-year-old woman is still controlled by her mother. I don't think this is as common today and this part of the book did not age well for me.

Listening on Audible. Still fun and I love cranky Min.

It was witty and interesting and cute. It has a few “wtf?” moments, but generally a fun read. It’s always nice when every character has a personality, not just the main leads.
Did I love Cal? Sure, but i won’t put him on my list of fictional boyfriends i’d marry. Still, the romance between Cal & Min is amazing! I love it!

This was actually a really good book that didn't start off with automatic attraction. That kind of story gets old but this was really interesting. I loved the story :)

What a great book. A cute story showing how two completely different people can get swept up in the beginnings of a relationship - and fight it the whole way.

I loved the storyline where couple meets in the bar based on a bet. I don't want to over share because I want everyone to go check out this book, such a great summer read. It is light and cute.

The one issue I found was - my copy that I have been moving with me for awhile was a mass market paperback. I had not read a mass market paperback in awhile and now I know why - I hated it. It was impossible to read on the treadmill. I had to use two hands to read it. I officially will avoid mass market in the future, the price does not entice me anymore.

Back to the book review - I really don't want to share much for fear of ruining such a cute little book. But I would absolutely pass this book onto all the ladies in my life.

This is one of my favorite books! I don't typically re read books but I can't even count how many times I've read this one. Min and her group of friends are funny and inspiration. Liza is probably my favorite. She is the friend we all wish we had fierce and loyal. I just love the characters in this book so much so I wish they were real people! Jennifer Cruise books are always a delight!

This is definitely Chick-lit. The story can be predictable. However, the characters are all interesting & well-developed leading to amusing banters and interesting interactions between them, which I enjoyed.
