I found this book really interesting as a concept, but I don’t know if the first book made justice to the plot. I think the main protagonist Jane is a bit whiny, even though she is probably going through the worst time ever, it still is kind of annoying. Aside from Jane I really like the other characters and I find them interesting, every single one of the knights are lovable and even the bad guy is entertaining, although we didn’t see much of him in this first book. Clearly this book it’s an opening to this fantasy world and it really doesn’t give you as many answers as you might expect. Everything seems to be very surface level but I will read the next two books in the trilogy to make sure.

I read this because the author made a tiktok about the plot. She forgot to mention the fact that there were zombies and made it look like it was a fantasy romance with gods and angels. The turn is that there are so many plots in this book that it feels like a 2012 Facebook fan fiction.

I abandoned it at 50%, I just could not stand reading it anymore. If the author had chosen one of the many plot lines I think this could have been a good book. But there was zombies, Arthur and the round table, angels, demons, and honestly I don’t want kids on my spicy fantasy book.

I must also mention that there’s some sexual scenes that just made me way too uncomfortable.
