Overall I enjoyed the book while reading it, but theres just so much weird stuff going on.

I just hoped Domenik would have to put more effort into getting her back, while that just doesn't seem to be the case.
Like you fucked up and neglegted your wife for several years and boom, after a few flowers, a little bit of saying shit he didn't mean (or just idk) and flying after her to brazil - wich is defenentely not creepy at all (note the sarcasm) fucking stalker - they are back together.
Which doesn't mean that i didn't like him, wich I surprisingly from time to time did, I just wanted him to grovel like hell or something. It just felt like he didn't have to put in any effort at all. If what he thought would have become reality in the book he would have been a way better character. (His thoughts were also probably the only thing that made me like him)

Allesandra on the other hand, I kind of liked more continuously though the book. I liked that she started to do her own thing and trying to heal.
What I didn't like is that she didn't give Dom the chance to talk to her again after she moved out. I have no problem with the fact that she did that and that she served him the divorce papers, because i think that is what really got through to him and what made him realized he fucked up (kind of bad that he didn't before but ok). But  she just could have let him speak to her atleast, like wtf. That they were divorced thoughout the whole book I feel like could have been easily avoided,
and then it also would have been marriage in crises like how it was advertised everywhere.

Also what was that date thing with
Aiden
? That was so unnecessary.

Additional to that the smut was so weird. Like why was that happening in a
bar bathroom and why was that like the day before he signed the papers.
like whyyy.
And in a later part of the book he was like 'what do you want me to do' (in really deep dark und manly voice) kind of , so he asked her but in the end it was still that he had the full power, AGAIN. Why did you ask if it's not even gonna lead to anything. Then the scene in the library, like why did Ana have to drag Kai and Isabella into this.
Lets just say it could have been such a good slowburn but that got fucked up real quick.

I don't think we even have to dicuss the end.
Because why did they think it was a good idea to bring that Bank plot in there and why with the brother?
They tried to make this a dark romance vibe in the end and it was horrible.

The book had potential but the incompetence was just sooo big, i couldn't deal with it.

I had hopes that i would like this book, like I liked King of Pride, but i ended up developing feelings more similar to the ones I developed for king of Wrath. (non bueno)

I just hope king of sloth will be a less bad execution of a try of dark romance and a less stereotypical bilionare romance but a little bit more of just... good.

this one HURT, and i knew it would since it was a marriage-in-crisis, second chance romance and the tension between alé and dom in the first two books was off the charts. this had me feeling all the emotions and i just wanted to hug them both several times. i think dante&vivian are still my favorite of the series so far (there little cameos in this, especially towards the end had me sooooo freaking happy!!), alessandra and dominic are a very close second.

⚠️: gun violence, violence, child abuse, blood, death, pregnancy (SC, epilogue), abandonment

I was so excited for this couple's story based on the few teasing lines in the previous entry in the series, but that all went to hell with this book. I get why flashbacks may be necessary in a second chance romance, but there were so many at the beginning of this book that I lost interest precisely the moment I should've been invested. This book really cooled my interest in the series. I'm not particularly interested in any of the characters except
Dominic's brother, Roman
and another wedding guest whose name I can't remember.

People are upset that Dom wasn’t groveling as much but to me it was the perfect amount plus I love seeing a man so in love with his wife that he can’t live his life once she leaves. He went out with his brother, Roman, who tried to kill Dom for trying to buy a bank, and drunk his sorrows away all because Ále lied to Dom that she would be on a date just so she won’t get back with him. If I was Ále the second Dom send me the thousands flowers I would’ve gotten back with him. IM WEAK COMPARED TO ÁLE!!! Dom even went to Brazil just cause Dante let it slip that Ále was going there and no one knows when she would come back. I also didn’t mind reading Ále becoming her own person after the divorce cause it shows the side of relationships where the person loses themselves in order for their partner to shine and it was amazing I loved reading it I didn’t even care if Dom wasn’t in the chapter I was genuinely enjoying this story. I loved reading small memories like their first date, their first meeting, etc. I loved every moment I sobbed reading them. I cried reading Dom’s backstory and why he became a work alcoholic but I loved seeing him change just for Ále. I LOVED IT!!!! I also enjoyed reading about Dominic’s dyslexia and how Ále handle it cause her little brother is the same as Dom and instead of judging him she helped Dom pass his English class so he can graduate it was a cute scene.

The spice scenes. What can I say about them? Steamy. Hot. Blushing worthy. Thank god I read this at home cause I would be red like a tomato if I read this out and about. Dominic is a hot sexy man who has a dirty mouth but still begged for Ále to stay with him, even let him take her out on a date, or even asking Ále to let him pursue her again it was EXCELLENT!!! I loved King of Greed more than King of Pride I haven’t read King of Wrath yet but I plan on doing so.

I would recommend this book to people, yes, I’ll cry doing so if I’m being honest. PLEASE READ THE BOOK!!!!!! The only thing I am disappointed about was the ending for Roman we don’t know what happened to him after the contract was leaked and I wished to know but overall I love this book too much to even take a quarter point off the rating.
