Memorable Quotes
- "Where is my wife?"
- "We'd been married exactly one week, two days, and twelve hours, and I still couldn't believe she was mine."
- "Without her, there was no me."
- "But there was beautiful, and there was her."
- "I might not have expressed it as often as I should've, but she'd always been the sun keeping my world in orbit."
- "You matter," I said. "Always"
- "You broke my heart, and you weren't even there to witness it." (BROKE ME)
- “You touch a single strand of hair on her head,” I said softly. “And there won’t be a place on earth where I won’t hunt you down and kill you so slowly you’ll be begging for death.”
- “I loved you so much I lost myself.”
- "I'd spent my life building an empire, but in that moment, I would've happily dismantled the entire fucking thing if it meant making her smile instead of cry."

“I don’t have the money to buy you all the flowers you deserve yet. So I made them instead.”
This series has been a blast so far. Not one has disappointed me but this one was an instant five stars for me. I never thought I'd love a marriage in trouble storyline but apparently, I do. This one for some reason made me feel a lot of emotions. When Alessandra had that breakdown and told Dominic that she wants a divorce because Dom hasn't been caring her for the past years, I felt that. If we take people for granted, it just hurts more once they're gone. Also, please boys, never forget an anniversary. It's just that one date that you have to remember, nothing more.
Then there was the past and present timeline which I just loved. It showed how Dom was head over heels in love with Ale. So it was pretty understandable where Dom was coming from, although, what he did to Ale is not justifiable. I just can't ignore how Dom really just straight out traded his work to win out Ale. That's really how we knew that he knew he messed up big time. He really showed Ale that he wants him back and he's willing to do everything within his power to win her back. And that's literally what he did. I just can't get over that. Maybe because I'm semi-relating with Ale and that's why this book just hit differently but I just love their relationship. I'm glad things worked out. I'm sorry for Dom's brother but damn he also did sacrifice for Dom.
I'm also super glad to have caught up with the series just in time for King of Sloth! Also, can we just take a moment to thank Ana for Jules and Josh' cameo? Thank you, Ana, for bringing back my favorite Twisted couple!
