The back story of both characters was infuriating and justified their dark desires and the twisted connection they had for one another.
What turned me off were the dead-end scenes. More than once they had interactions that had no significance. One or both would act impulsively almost childish and immature and then act outraged when the other didn't respond the way they wanted.
Remedy was not likable at first for me. She was too messy and acted recklessly. She grew on me though. I liked Cash instantly, he's smart like Dexter. Not a lovesick puppy like Joe.
This book is filled with a ton of dark and dirty kinks. If you have any triggers, do not even try reading this. There are too many for me to list.
This book reminded me of Dana Isaly's Into the Dark minus the Shakespearean ending.
I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
It is so hard to leave a proper review without giving spoilers. But, fabulous job. Please keep writing and creating books like this.
Thank you for getting me out of a reading slump.
Thank you for allowing me to review an copy ( even though I volunteered for it lol).
Must read more of your books. I'm obsessed now.
