I love Joyce, Ron, Ibrahim, and Elizabeth - their friendship is awesome. Tbh I never figure out the perpetrator in any book, but I definitely didn’t guess it in this one. I’m excited to read the third book and discover more about the characters’ lives. I think what makes this series so special is how the people are described. Gotta love the club lol.

The Man Who Died Twice is a ripping good yarn, a cozy spy mystery. The group of friends from the previous book continue their funny, witty, kind relationships and deepen them. Joyce is beginning to give Elizabeth a run for her money when it comes to sussing out clues. I really like Bogdan and hope to see more of him in future books. I listened to the audiobook. Lesley Manville did an excellent job. The whole thing is a great and a smart ride. I already have the next audiobook queued up.

A delightful return to Coopers Chase and the gang. Of course of course everything works out conveniently, but would it be as enjoyable if it didn't? (No.) Loved getting to know more of the backstories for so many characters, especially Elizabeth and Stephen. Precious.

I love these books, I really do! I can see myself as one of the "gang", Joyce most likely, and I really enjoy british humour!
Was the story completely outrageous? It was. But between us, how many mystery books have you read with down-to-earth stories and protagonists (that weren't written by Sir Conan Doyle or Agatha Cristie)? So yes, I couldn't care less that the plot is upsurd, I had lots of fun, and that's what really matters!

Great fun still, although maybe not quite as captivating as the first book in the series. Still very much looking forward to seeing what the gang gets up to next.
