A wonderful journey! I will definitely read again. There are so many tidbits that deserve an anchor…as you travel from current day to past.

A beautiful love story and tribute to Ms. Dessi Blue and the Harlem Renaissance.

This is my first Kennedy Ryan read. I am a forever reader. This book is about healing, growth, self love and self realization. Finding yourself and finding your person and also your peace. Reading this book in four days happened to fall in the days of my own growth, healing and forgiving journey.

Kennedy Ryan is the GOAT of all romance authors. How is it that a romance writer teaches me about important things, gets me kicking my feet with the spice, and has me in tears during every single book!?!

I know I say this every time I finish a Kennedy Ryan book, but Reel is officially my new favorite. I couldn’t stop thinking about this book. The characters were beautifully written, the romance was swoon-worthy, and Kennedy Ryan has the unique ability to navigate tough topics with care and intention. I felt so much pride reading this in my people, my culture, and the legacy of Black creatives.

I loved the behind-the-scenes look at filmmaking and how intimate Canon and Neevah’s love felt. Their connection was electric. It was magnetic, messy and real. I really liked the dual timelines, the historical layers, the spice (whew!) This book truly has it all…there’s romance, passion and purpose. It’s more than a love story and I cannot wait to see where this series goes.
