Ah another childhood favourite. Roald Dahl was definitely my favourite author until Stephen King took over just before my teenage years.

It is still a great read. He is still a fantastic storyteller whatever your age. Yet I have not read this book for a long time. So it was fun revisiting it. Like coming back to your childhood a bit. My own writing, my love of reading, definitely owes a massive debt to Roald Dahl.

Another readaloud with my youngest (and anyone else who listens in). I've seen the musical twice now and loved it, but I'm not sure I'd actually ever read the book before. It was engaging.
