Delightful story of Matilda. It was just what I needed to comfort and entertain. I love how we can still enjoy books as adult we enjoyed in our youth and see them through different eyes. Still a treasure.

Dahl's writing is witty and engaging, filled with humor that appeals to both children and adults. The characters are vividly drawn, from the monstrous Miss Trunchbull to the gentle and encouraging Miss Honey, who becomes Matilda's ally. (I mean the great drawings also help in visualising the characters and how they are)
The reason this book doesn't get a full 5 stars is that some of the elements may be a little outdated. Like how it is worded and the drawings with bruce. I mean I get it is humor and such and the book I read (mine is uncensored version) So I am struggelin in whatever or not if I can actually rate this to a 5, like i can not really balme the boom for being old. Yet, the drawings for me tipped it down. So overall a
