They Wish They Were Us sounded like something I would love, but I struggled to get into this story. It kept me just interested enough to see if it got better. It was a little too predictable, and the alternating timelines were unclear and confusing at times. This wasn't really a bad book, but it doesn't stand out from any other YA thriller.

I wanted more from this book, I really enjoyed the writing overall and will definitely be getting another book by Jessica Goodman, but this book was a little too obvious from the beginning. Once Adam specifically said that Rachel was nuts, I knew.... the scenes were really well written and the time shifting was easy-ish.... there were definitely parts where chapters would change and you kinda feel like you missed something because the character would do a total change in conversation which I could see some people getting annoyed with.
