A book that effortlessly recounts several tales of massive scope, and yet never forgets the more intimate moments that its characters can create. A huge, slog of a story - it's a slog that makes perfect sense, because it reflects the vast trials the characters must undergo, all of which results in an emotionally-charged finale, as the different threads reach their triumphant, or heart-breaking, conclusions.

Not as good as the first one in my opinion. A lot of characters that I didn't really care about and I also often disliked the places mentioned in this book.. It was an okay read, but it was just really hard for me to continue reading and finish it since I didn't feel as close to the story as I did in book 1.
