I liked the second books though perhaps not as much as the first because we lost some of the humor that made me love the first book so much as the plot became more high stakes and the tone became more serious. I also really didn’t like the ending, but that is completely because of personal preference. The slight cliffhanger ending hit one of my anxiety triggers, but I love the characters enough that I will absolutely continue the series.

Cal isn't evil

I now know who I'm rooting for, and it's Cal not Dale. Dale is a jerk. I do like Minya though. I really hope the backstabber at the end gets destroyed.
