Really hard to get into, overwhelms you with names, places, titles, and info. Once you get past the first bit and into the story it really picks up, especially if you stop wprrying about remembering everything and just enjoy the book.

This book has been on my to-read list for a while, and I finally made the time. I really enjoyed the plot and characters, and I see why it's a reference point for sci-fi fans. (I listened to it as an audiobook and liked that format.)

I'm not sure that I feel motivated enough to read the sequels, but I did like the characters, so maybe I could be convinced. As I was reading, I kept thinking about how I could develop a class about politics and science fiction for undergrads, so maybe that will happen one day...
