TW explanations: I tagged ‘domestic abuse’ as the mom hits Rose’s cheek in a brief scene (I wasn’t sure what else you’d tag that as). I also tagged ‘eating disorder’ as it’s mentioned that Daisy’s weight is being tracked by her mom including on her birthday (!!)

This book wasn’t bad. It’s 16 chapters so it’s pretty short and not a lot happened. But I loved seeing Lily get a therapist/the help she needs and can have someone to talk about it with. I know therapy has helped me a lot with my problems. Like another reviewer said, this book is somehow necessary and not necessary at the same time lol

It confirmed for me what I already knew: that the Calloway sisters’ mom is a terrible person and I really wish her daughters would go no contact but hey, I’m not the girls.

Also I skimmed/skipped the flashback scenes, I didn’t find them interesting🤷‍♀️

most of these stars are for mr. RYKE MEADOWS because oh my goodness this man is so fiiiiineee and he oozes confidence the way i do in my dreams. IM SO EXCITED TO READ HIS AND DAISY'S BOOK.

other than that, I really appreciated how lily and lo's struggles were shown and how they are growing together. how hard they were fighting to get over their problems was so admirable and made me love them just a little more. i also love rose and connor and how they were always there, supporting them. I love how everything turned out good for both of them despite the loneliness they've endured. I loved the flashback narration and how everyone was portrayed in such a human and vulnerable manner and every single moment added to the story, i just wish for a dual POV.  in addition, i really praise how, while there was smut, it did not at all override the plot.

this book was truly heart-wrenching and i'm in LOVEEEE <3
