I was feeling my interest in Sue Grafton wain at this point in the alphabet. I decided to listen to her books on Audio because I just didn't want to read them.
I hate giving her one star - but the truth is I haven't picked up a book she wrote since this one. So - if a book that turns you off an author doesn't warrent one star I don't know what does.

This book wasn't predictable until you got toward the last 30 or so pages. I knew where it was going by then. It was a good read and kept me engaged. I really liked Stacey and grew to like Dolan. They are really nice gentlemen. As for Kinsey, I hope she ends up really becoming a part of her long, lost family. I'm sure I will see how that develops in the next few books.
This book had a bit of a slow beginning but once it got started I was very intrigued. This is my second book in this series and I am looking forward to reading more!
3.75 stars. Good solid mystery and a little different than expected.

This is a great Kinsey mystery and I really enjoyed it. A long ago murder is being investigated by Kinsey and Lt Dolan. We learn many interesting things about Kinsey's family in addition to the murder investigation. This is the best novel of the last couple by Sue Grafton. I wish Henry was in it more, but hopefully next time.
Enjoyable installment in the series with a better-than-average mystery component; could have benefited from pruning the Millhone family component, which is never very interesting, and the long section riffing on organ meats, which was just kinda dumb. The two-aging-cops-bickering angle might not have been for everyone, but I thought it was kinda charming.
