God, this ends so strongly.
Brilliant, I've not read ANY Potter for a while and my daughter wanted to start them again with me. I jumped into where I finished off last and she's started fresh on Philosophers Stone. This had me hooked from the get go. A fantastic start and just builds so well. I think it went on in some aspects and some chapters went on that really didn't need to be there but other than that it was just brilliant and I can't wait for my daughter to get to this one.

This is maybe my favorite book in the series! I love any book that had games or trials like this, and add the nostalgia of this series? I’m sold! Cedric's death gets me every time even though I know it’s coming. I love the narrator for these audiobooks. The way he does some of the characters voices are SO good!
I believe J.K Rowling has a word count goal because half of it could’ve been cut out and it would be the same book. Same with every one except the first two tbh.
A good time!
I really enjoyed the Tri-Wizard Tournament events - very exciting.
I also like how realistic some of the issues in the story are. Of course you have prejudices like Hermione with the house elves but even just the spats between the main trio make them feel so authentic.
The exterior conflict regarding Voldemort, etc earlier in the book was fine but it just felt like it was always “uh oh Voldemort, but stay out of it Harry” just to remind you that he exists and is starting to do stuff versus anything happening (until the end) 😅
