“Make Me Fall”, while far from as angsty and devastating as ”Hold Me Under”, was still very much an emotional read. Despite the lighter tone (I giggled quite a few times during the first chapters), this story still found ways to tug at my heartstrings.
I quickly fell in love with both the story and the characters - they had so many sweet moments and I adored how they kept finding ways to get back to each other. The connection and attraction between them was clear from the start and things definitely got hot and steamy. The banter between Jonah and Gray was also on point, something I always appreciate!
I was intrigued by Gray from the first book and so curious about his backstory. He carried a lot of guilt and ghosts from the past with him, and instead of dealing he buried himself in work. While Gray was more grumpy and morose, Jonah was just a force of nature, a totally amazing character and his energy seemed to bounce off the pages. Even though he had more of a sunshine personality, Jonah still had his own struggles and things to work out. Some of their stories were heartbreakingly sad, and I’m glad they found each other to lean on.
I loved the little glimpses of Ethan and Victor, it made my heart so happy to see them again. This story also gave a few hints about Jackson and Oliver’s book and I’m really excited to see where that story will take us - I’m very impressed by Riley Nash and this series so far!

I seriously could re-read this book once a month. It is exquisitely written, ridiculously hot, and makes me wish Riley Nash was my best friend so I could live inside their head.

Audiobook 5 stars & Story 4.5 (though probably influenced by still being in a book hangover from book 1)
If book one was the story that ripped your heart out, this book is the one that put the pieces back together (including the one under the oven #iykyk)
In some books the characters really have to fight for each other/to be together and there’s tons of push/pull, and in others they just fit together so effortlessly well that you can’t remember a time where they weren’t together. This book is the perfect example of the latter and I loved it!

I have to say that Gray was hard to like in the first book, especially with the way his character was portrayed from snatches here and there. Here though he was nothing like that. Filled with guilt and remorse, trying to control as many things as possible so as to not miss significant signs like he did with Victor. A man lost and drowning really.
And then Jonah, like the filled with light comet that he was, crashed onto Gray, first on a plane briefly and then from another chance meeting in a camp-group exercise totally.
What can I say about Jonah and do him justice? Happy, optimistic, always on the go and so confused about his feelings towards men. And then Gray happened and he just couldn't let go. Well neither Gray could so that's okay.
Those two together, even though they burned slowly, after that first meeting, when they caught fire, oh boy were they hot!!!
As for the two narrators, I have to say I do love that Riley Nash chose two new narrators from the previous book and I think this is my first time listening to either of them narrating and I was impressed! They gave a great performance!

This was a very heartwarming and slightly sad story.
The writing is comforting and nice: it manages to captivate you even during the moments when nothing much is going on.
It’s very heavy on the hurt/comfort and grumpy/sunshine tropes, but it also features an age-gap and even has an intern/boss dynamic for a little while.
Jonah was without a doubt my favourite character in this book. He is energetic, hopeful, chaotic, happy, caring and sweet.
The way he persevered even with all his setbacks in life was inspiring and beautiful. I can’t imagine ever being that strong myself.
He was an impossibly likable person, and it was absolutely unthinkable to not wish him the very best.
However, if I’m being honest, I wasn’t so sure if Gray really was “the very best” for him at first.
It took me a little while to warm up to him, but once I started to understand his pain and reservations better, I started to like him more and more.
In the end, I could definitely see how much he adored Jonah and I very much wanted them to be together.
Gray might not be perfect, but he was enough, and their love was obviously ample strong to conquer any obstacles.
All in all, I was plenty invested in this book. I think the characters had depth and lots of chemistry together. I definitely enjoyed reading this.
