I fucked with this book hard back in the day. I wasn’t Mormon but Apostolic which was its own set of insanity. It was good. I remembered hurting for her. I remember crying towards the end. I didn’t know there was a sequel and I don’t know if I could handle that these days with some of the shit I’m working through but maybe one day. It was good. No books are perfect and no people are perfect but I think this is one of her best.

Another stunning novel by Hopkins. I smartly checked out the sequel at the same time, so I won't waste any time ...

So good! The ending was a bit abrupt, and left me with a lot of questions…but otherwise this was a great read.

This is easily my favorite of all three of Ellen Hopkins's books I've read but oof, was this still a hard read to swallow.
