Quite entertaining overall, with one glaring flaw, language. without spoiling anything I will say, 1400s English would be incomprehensible to anyone... so technically, same goes for other languages. I guess for plot simplicity it makes sense to ignore that fact, but it was rather glaring, considering I had to actually study Chaucer in its original writing from the 1300s as part of my honors English degree (not a fun course sadly... turns out English was very different back then, to say the least).
This issue aside, I'm sure I could point to little things here or there. But the book was fast paced. The combat scenes were well written all around and easily visualized as I read.
I will say... if I'd gone through a tenth of what the Animorphs have, I'd probably be a trainwreck of emotional trauma with every symptom of PTSD and then some.

Action, travel, action, death, action, moral dilemma without much time to explore, quick ending. #megamorphs
Yes, this is the one where KA Applegate looks straight at the camera and says "Yes, always kill Hitler." Cassie also gets called the n-slur (in a remarkably well handled scene) and then transforms into a polar bear to gut some chad ass white supremacists, and it is beautiful. Also sometimes you chase a Vissier through various historical AUs in a Carmen Sandiego esque time hopping journey. Ye. This is the good shit.
