Tris and Tobias try to manage their relationship and their lives in the new world they found themselves in. The government believes that people have either pure genes or damaged genes. Tris is categorized as pure while Tobias is damaged. Then they find themselves in an uprising trying to overthrow the government and change their minds about damaged genes. Will they all survive this new fight?
I remember the first time reading this, I was so shocked by how it ended. Without giving too much away, a character dies! I never thought that an author would kill off a loved character like that, but it definitely made the book interesting.
I still love this author’s work and will always look into reading more by her.
I remember when I first watched the movie after reading the book and was so disappointed by the way it ended. They didn’t follow the book and created their own ending, drastically different from the book.

Glad it's not the happy ending.... but it's a shame that one of the main characters dies but it was really from half way through this books.

It's not my favourite one but I still loved it
