This is Melanie's story. It is a story of healing and loving oneself. Melanie is such a relatable and touching charcter of the series. It was amazing to have a book just for her. The rest of the charcters continue to play their roles as well. The past is entwined with the present and the story moves perfectly. We also learn more about Bryan and his life. I am hookd on this series. Melissa Collins has written another hit novel!

Loved Melanie, hated Bryan. He was sullen and egotistic and needed to man-splain everything. I had serious vibes of coercive and controlling behaviour through this book and it wasn't until the last third of the book that I started to warm to him. Too little too late though; Melanie deserves better.

Synopsis:

Perfection.  We all strive for it, but what happens when the desire to be perfect consumes you?  What happens when the need to bury your mistakes blinds you?

Melanie Crane has always been the perfect daughter, friend, student shes been perfect at everything, in fact.  But when she lets her insecurities, the ones that she keeps hidden from everyone, get the best of her, she falters in her pursuit of perfection.  Melanie crumples under the pressure and buries her pain.  Numbed by sadness and guilt, she is determined never to let anyone find out how broken she really is.

Bryan Mahoney may appear to have everything in order.  Hes charming, witty and completely swoon-worthy. In short, Bryan has life all figured out, but appearances can be deceiving.  When the landscape of Bryans family changes in an instant, hes left to pick up the pieces.

Not all bruises leave a mark. Now, weary and afraid, Melanie and Bryan must find a way to let love heal their broken and jaded hearts.

Let Love Heal is book #3 in the Love Series, but can be read as a stand alone.

Melanie Crane is the girl everyone loves to be around.  Smart, funny, loyal.  And she is real.  She is not a stick figure supermodel, she's a size 16, curvaceous "normal" woman.  And she always has a smile on her face.

But like all of us, those smiles can hide a multitude of emotions.  I know I put on the facade of happy go lucky when on the inside things are churning like the ocean in a storm.

I think this line sums things up perfectly -

Bryan Mahoney is the IT guy she meets when she starts working at the computer lab.  His life seems to be perfect - but is it?

Their attraction is instant, but Melanie knows they can only be friends - why would he want to be with her?  Especially after meeting his bitchy ex, who looks like supermodel.

I feel for Bryan so much - he says and shows over and over that he wants Melanie, but she is always looking for the worst in Bryan.  Like any human, there is only so much you can take before you have to give up and walk away. And then when something happens to make it easier to walk away, you take the opportunity.

This line sums up Melanie perfectly - Not all bruises leave a mark.

Melissa Collins has written this story perfectly.  Reading as Melanie struggled through her inner demons and insecurities made me look back at some times in my life when I felt like she did.  It was a joy to watch Melanie finally realise that hey, she is good enough, she is beautiful inside and out, and people do love her as she is.

But will it be enough for her and Bryan to get their relationship back?  For that, you are going to have to read for yourself.

We get more of Maddie and Reid, Cammie and Jack, Lia - and we meet Melanie's new roommate Peyton.

And of course we get more of Melanie's mum.  She has been an integral part of not only Melanie's but Maddy's life, and I loved that we got to learn more of her story, both past and present.

I am definitely looking forward to more of this series!

OMG!!! I was so excited for Melanie's book!! I loved every second of every page! I thought Maddy and Reid had a unique relationship...but oh my Mel and Bryan's relationship had twists and unexpected scenes that I did not see coming! Melanie is so unique and very much her own person that she is a force that you don't want to mess with but when she does something wrong life just gets turned upside down and sideways! If you loved Maddy and Reid's books....BELIEVE ME you do NOT want to miss out on Melanie and Bryan's story! Melissa Collins did an amazing job writing Mel's story; there is no other way to describe it. The cover alone is worth 1000 words...that image fits Melanie's character in this story perfectly!! I can't wait to see what Melissa has in store for the rest of the series!!

5 HUGE STARS!!!!
