I don’t know why I am reading this when I don’t even like the story anymore ….. it’s just too bland for my liking.

I listen to the audiobook version of this I absolutely loved it! I liked that the two books didn’t run parallel like they did in the movie version. I enjoyed the focus on just one part of the company at a time. I enjoyed the way the characters were described. I know he has a way of talking forever and describing scenery but I absolutely loved it. It really felt like it matched the storyline. The characters and the storyline are so great and I love watching them come alive in these words. I enjoyed the differences from what I knew watching growing up and what was in the book.

Always a masterpiece.

Loving Smeagol <3

Book 3 was a bit slower than books 1 and 2. Book 4 came back strong. So much description that I am amazed by how many words Tolkien can use in one scene.

The plot twist is quite interesting.. I don't know what to expect next.

(Somehow I did not watch the movies :d)
