This book had me on the edge of my seat and entertained from the very first page. Of course there were still slow points but for the most part it was never ending action. This book felt a lot denser that the other books in the series and I think that is because we learn so many things in this book.
A lot of those things looking back seem very obvious now. Like how Taristan came to get the other spindleblade. It makes sense that Isibel practically gave it to him causing all of this to come about. If she hadn't been foolishness to find a way to get back to Glorian or even if she had come to realize her mistake he daughter wouldn't have died and all the other Elders might not have lost their lives due to her foolishness.
I want to know what the fuck Voltik is. She makes no sense in my head. Is she a bone witch is she a god in human skin. Is she from another spindle that we don't know of kinda like the Elders and the Cor bloods? I would really like some more information on her. Also how was Voltik also Coryane "nurse maid" whatever his name was. The one she snuck away from to go with Dom and Sorsa.
Also did Sorsa and Dom end up together? Same with Andry and Coryane. These are important questions and I need the answers.
I like that Erida got what she deserved, a kingdom of Ash, in the end. I wish that Taristan might have decided to leave Erida in the spindle and save himself especially since in the end he turn on the red wizard and What Waits, even if Wait Waits was still inside him and able to control him. I know he turned because in some twisted fucked up way he does love Erida and he doesn't want anything to happen to her and deeply cares for her. I just wish that he could care in some was as well to his own flesh and blood.
Again a very well written book and amazing series.
