Fascinating. Left a lasting impression. Changed my views on what is possible in the world.

I liked the book cause it gives yet another view on the parenthood, childhood and lifestyle. Especially the first part, which is observation of a culture totally different from the western. I think it gives a good food for thought on our attitude to work, rest and family.
However, treating this book as a playbook for parents is rather a misunderstanding. Firstly, it assumes all of the tribe's choices and ways of living are perfect and we should follow them to have perfect children and life. Then, the author tries to convince us that we can transfer everything directly to our culture, no matter what. I don't buy it, it's not that simple - copy the other culture's behaviors and voila - we are as happy as they are.
