✨ Rewind It Back – Review ✨

Finally got a chance to read Rewind It Back, the last book in the Windy City series… and I’m not gonna lie, it’s bittersweet. This group of friends has carved out such a special place in my heart, and it’s hard to say goodbye. 🥹

This story stirred up so many emotions — one moment I was smiling at the fluttery feels, and the next, I was heart-shattered. But in the end, Rio and Hallie’s journey was so soft, so sweet, and so worth it. 💖

It felt like a healing journey for both of them — and for me too. The deeper meaning behind “rewind it back” hit me hard in the best way. As a millennial, all the nostalgic references (tapes, boomboxes, CDs) added an extra layer of magic that made it feel even more personal. 🫶

Hallie is such a sweet, selfless, and independent woman. She’s been through so much, yet she still shows up for the people she loves, even when she’s struggling herself. And honestly? She’s been the perfect match for Rio from the very first day they met. Their energy just clicks — the way their personalities complement each other is so natural, like they were always meant to find their way back. 🥹💞

Rio, on the other hand, is like light after a long storm. Behind all his goofy, sunshine energy is a man who loves big, and who fights hard for the people he cares about. He wasn’t just charming — he was extra, and exactly what Hallie needed.

And the chemistry? Undeniably sweet and strong. They’re childhood sweethearts, after all — with a love that never really faded, just got buried under time and heartbreak. Even though the mistakes they made along the way ruined them, it actually helped them grow. You can feel how much deeper their connection runs because of everything they’ve been through. Their love wasn’t perfect, but it was real, raw, and earned. 💔💫

I also loved the dual timeline — even though you can start to piece things together early on, it doesn’t take away from the impact. This book isn’t about the twist; it’s about the journey.

And Rio? God, I adored him. He gives off those Isaiah-like happy-go-lucky vibes — goofy, bright, and full of warmth — but I’m sorry Isaiah… Rio owns my heart now. 😭💘

If I had to rank the series, it’d be:
1. Caught Up
2. Rewind It Back
3. Play Along
4. Mile High
5. The Right Move

It’s a hard goodbye to this series. They truly feel like my found family. 💫
