3.75★ — This was a fun, flirty, and emotional ride with some great banter and a swoony romance. Liz Tomforde has a knack for giving her characters believable chemistry and a slow burn that keeps you hooked. I loved the humor and the playful moments, but at times the pacing felt uneven, and a few scenes could’ve been tighter. Still, it left me smiling, and the emotional beats hit when they needed to. A solid, feel-good read that I’d recommend to anyone who enjoys sports romance with heart. I do NOT believe they waited 6 years, iykyk.

I personally don't like second chance trope but this book is different. Their first broke-up doesn't feel forced and they always have that feeling for another without seeing anyone else for a whole 6 years. And after they met again, Rio immediately knows that he needs her again in his life. Yup, need not want because he could not get over a whole time even he tried. Their interaction and chemistry is very cute as well. Definitely what I will expect from Rio.
