This book started off strong. I probably wouldn’t have finished it if I hadn’t been listening to the audio version.

I was very annoyed by the FMC and how she couldn’t stick to her guns even if she wanted too.

The side characters were amazing. I loved Storm, Quinn, and Skylar.

Phoenix was a walking red flag.

OH YEAH. OH YEAH. OH YEAH.

The two main characters get to know each other near the end of high school. He’s a player from a shitty family looking to get out of town asap. He makes a split second decision and screws their relationship. I really liked this book. I’m not sure it is five stars but I want to give it bcs The characters felt real. I cared about their plight. It has tons of potential to become a series and I REALLY REALLY hope it does. Although thinking about it the FMC was way too focused on one part of the betrayal and not the part that she should’ve been IMO.
