This book was everything I was looking for and then more. I loved the chemistry between Lennon and Phoenix. Even the side characters (Skylar, Storm, Memphis, and Quinn) were great as well. This book was exceptional and it should definitely be made into a movie.

Would you give up your dreams if it meant someone else would get to live theirs? This book makes you question everything.

Read this book!

😑 This was truly the dumbest book I’ve ever read.

5 out of 5 stars this one was fire!

I'm sitting here trying to put into words what The Words did to me as a reader. If you're expecting a typical enemies to lovers you obviously never read an Ashley Jade book.
It's always so freaking refreshing to read an author like Ashly Jade she isn't afraid to write these visceral, raw, real characters that just take over the pages where you become so emotionally invested in them you either want to choke the life out if them or just hold them close to you.
And the fact that she writes characters dealing with real life shit always hits. I remember reading this and just bawling because of the situation Lennon was dealing with at home and mirroring to what my BF was dealing with his mom.

It's so hard to say everything I want to say about this book without giving anything away. So I'll say this. This book rocked my world Lennon was an amazing character she was strong and even through her vulnerable moments she was something to admire. Phoenix was suck a dick that you just want to bang until you find the soft gooey center. A real hard ass that protected his own even when it hurts. And holy shit the supporting cast will have you both laughing and crying this book couldn't honestly have been more perfect.

Thanks for coming to my TED talk go buy this book and trust me you won't regret it... Well maybe your eyes will after the feels this fucker gives you.

4.5 stars! Wow!! This book blew me away! Lennon and Phoenix became friends in high school. Though they are opposites in many ways, they have a connection through music, but Phoenix ruined all that with one decision. Phoenix is now a famous rock star and is spiraling out of control. He needs a sober companion who won't be manipulated by his charm. Lennon hopes to make his life for the next 8 weeks miserable, but what she doesn't except is how she'll feel being back in Phoenix's world.

This book was amazing! It was so captivating and while it's 657 pages, I finished it in two days. The characters are so multidimensional and so real and their story is so emotional. I haven't stopped thinking about this book. Fantastic!!
