I don’t know why I waited as long as I did to pick up this book but I am so happy that I finally did! This book had me smiling one minute, ready to throw it at the wall another minute and tears threatening to spill from my eyes the next!
It was a roller coaster of emotions but emotions I welcomed as it kept me completely invested in Phoenix and Lennon’s story. I literally could not put this book down!

Ok, so I liked this book a lot and enjoyed reading it. It did have a lot going on, but it was intriguing and I had a good time.

I've been sat here for a while now thinking about what to write because this book deserves a review but I'm just lost for words. I would say some stuff about the story but I hate giving spoilers in my reviews so I'll just say that while you might not like some of the characters, they are brilliantly written and feel more human and real than anyone I've ever read before and if you're thinking about it you should read it because the whole thing is perfectly penned. I laughed so hard I snorted and sobbed so hard I did it again. I relate to Lennon so much on so many levels that I could sit here and list them for days but I'll resist. One thing I would like to put out there, although she'll probably never see this, is a thank you to the author. From the bottom of my heart thank you, as a big girl for my entire life and having recently lost my dad, you have no idea how much I needed and appreciate what you've done here.

This has been my favorite read/listen of 2024.

This follows Lennon and Phoenix as they navigate life, chasing their dreams and the tough hands they are dealt. The POV changes were well balanced. I loved the growth of our hero and heroine. The struggles these characters faced on page were intense: betrayal, body image, addiction/alcoholism, depression, chronic illness in a parent. There were moments when I had to pause the narration & take a breath before continuing. Everything Lennon and Phoenix went through makes sense to get them to the conclusion of the story. This is high angst, spice, and heart. The main and supporting characters of this story really brought this home for me. I cannot wait to get my hands on the follow ups to this story and see Sharp Objects again.

The narration by Teddy Hamilton and Erin Mallon was awesome as to be expected with these two.

“Don’t let your insecurities overpower that which makes your soul come alive. Otherwise, you’ll walk this earth never feeling whole…and that’s no way to live.”

This book touches on so many emotional heartstrings and Jade knows exactly what she is doing with this push and pull intimacy that Lennon & Phoenix experience.

These two will wreck your heart, make you want to scream, cry and throw things, and take you on a journey of passion and discovery that lasts with you for a lifetime.

Enemies to lovers. Spicy as can be. Read the Trigger Warnings.

Lol, this was waaay too long and boring at some parts. I only read it because it was free. It was about meh as I expected.

OMFG this book is so underrated I don't even know where to start.
676 pages of IDK what eff just happened scenes..

I thought this would just be a casual read but my god, while it isn't the greatest writing I've read from an author the storyline itself is worth the 4 stars.
I don't understand though why this is considered a stand alone because this should be a series the ending alone isn't enough as its such a cliff hanger...
