“Lennon told me I was the sun, and I never needed anyone else to shine, but she was wrong. The sun can’t shine when it gets too dark. But the moon can. Which is what Lennon is for me. My only source of light when everything turns black”

This book sucked me in from the start and I couldn’t stop reading it. I was frustrated, angry and sad. The angst between Phoenix and Lennon was reeling, the connection that started in high school that ended in heartbreak and betrayal. Which continued four years when they saw each other again.
I was consumed by it all. I felt for both of them with everything they went through, it was a great story.

very dramatic and you gotta be in the right mood to read this, but it kept me distracted from real life so

4.5*

I just loved this book okay. This was like literal crack to me!!!

I loved phoenix, past and present and lennon too, I loved the past Vs present aspect.. past Lennon and phoenix own my entire heart I swear.

I don't usually reach for rockstar romances because tbh they aren't usually for me but I love Ashley jade's writing so I just had to pick this up and I'm so so glad I did because it was just incredible. This is a big boy book and I devoured it soo quickly I just couldn't put it down.

I will say I think Lennon over reacted slightly about the whole situation, like it really wasn't that deep, be mad sure but dragging it on for so long was unnecessary.

The smut was

OH YEAH. OH YEAH. OH YEAH.

Just weird

I really enjoyed this book! The characters were great, the relationships were thrilling (and, let’s be honest, a bit toxic), and it was really long (in a good way).

I rarely say this but I’d be interested in reading the other characters’ books. I usually am too sad that a story ended to get invested in another couple’s journey but not here. I want to know what happens to Storm and Skylar and Memphis and (eventually) Quinn. So I was not thrilled to learn I read this book so close to its release date because it means I have a long time until I get to read more books in this world.

Full disclosure, I found that a few situations went a little too far but the good outweighed the bad here, so it’s 5 stars from me!
