FMC had to lose weight to be loveable. MMC is just a horrible person.

I don't think I'm willing to commit to a book that long when I'm not immediately hooked.

I think this book was well written and had lots of twists and turns. It was enjoyable till the end for the most part. As a plus-sized woman, I did love how the author captured what it is like living in a society that has a lot of people with fatphobia.

The only thing I didn't love about this book... (Spoiler Alert)

I did not like how Lennon woke up cuffed to a headboard and some random woman was giving her head. That was cringe and gave me assault vibes. I almost stopped reading at that moment but I pushed through.

Uhhhhhm so… this was an experience.

While the writing and storytelling were great (I was hooked in the beginning), I was quickly discovering that maaaaybe extra dark romance is a little too dark for me. Is that even dark? Do we call toxic relationships dark now? Mmm. Check your triggers.

The smut was definitely on the dark deep-end, though, so if you like that this is calling your name.

The pacing was okay early on but it started to drag a bit for me in the middle during all the back and forth between Phoenix and Lennon.

Speaking of that couple, oh my god I ended up hating their relationship. Phoenix is the quintessential bad boy superstar that no sensible girl should even think about let alone bat their eyes at. He is the red flag of red flags, issa no-go. And while I initially liked Lennon, she was all mouth and no action. The minute she even bothered standing up for herself, she would cave two seconds later. She acts tough but Phoenix could take a dump on her, no warning, and she would forgive him 10 seconds later. Ickkk. Not me though. Not with a 10 foot pole.

But yeah if you’re into the dark romance with a side of toxicity, rockstars, rockstar behavior (drugs, women, alcohol, scandals, tmz worthy behavior), fatphobia, and an arsenal of other triggers here and there, this may be for you.

🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️

This enemies to lovers novel kept me glued the entire time. I thoroughly enjoyed Lennon and Phoenix mess of a relationship and how they got through all their ups and downs. At some moments in the book, I was in shock and disbelief. This book had the best balance of romance, enemy attitude and smut lol. I love when some books have a fantastic storyline and thrilling characters and not just a book all drowned in smut. This did a great job of achieving that. I would definitely recommend this book.
