This is a review of whole series.

As usual, it is a From-zero-to-hero sport manga where the main protagonist, Naruse, is continuously improving his basketball skill. The interesting is the first arc where the story started as street basketball theme. Then next arc change into high school basketball. The Naruse involvement in this two different side of basketball is the interesting part of this series, although the high school basketball got more portion in this series.

As in Slam Dunk, there is a rival character that usually a very cool guy, Sawamura. I believe some of female readers attracted to this stories due to this character. It is understandable, because the rival character is cool but has flaws too, and easier to get readers sympathy than Rukawa character in [b:Slam Dunk, Tome 1|1311355|Slam Dunk, Tome 1|Takehiko Inoue|https://images.gr-assets.com/books/1330196571s/1311355.jpg|539112].

One mandatory character is the senpai/senior character that equivalent to teacher character stereotype. His name is Sakurai. and for this manga, this senpai character is a perfect character and influencing Naruse in both basketball world. I don't like this perfect senpai that I see as Gary Stu, but some readers seem like him.

Of course there are other characters as in major sport manga, and each of us could pick our own favorite, but in general this sport manga doesn't offer something new in sport manga except the street basketball plots.
