Kinsey solves a decades old mystery when all she was hired to do was find a missing old lady. My favorite place I have never visited in the united sates was mentioned, The Salton Sea, I got to learn about a new never heard of place in the US I am dying to now see in "The Slabs," and Kinsey gets a little "bow-chicka-wow-wow" with yet another emotionally unavailable man. Altogether, another satisfying installment in a mystery series I am enjoying more as it goes along.

Kinsey Millhone really knows how to celebrate a birthday ... she moves into her brand new apartment, finds out that a hit man has been hired to kill her (she's actually a bit offended that the price on her head is only $1500!) and has a new case that should be nice and easy to solve. Because of the hit man, she gets a fellow PI, Dietz, to guard her - and he takes this seriously - which is nice for Kinsey to have a bit of action in the bedroom. The case - to find a missing woman - should be easy but turns out to be much more complicated than it should be. Kinsey and Dietz are drawn into a 40 year old mystery, all the while trying to get away from the hit man who seems to be travelling with a young boy. A fun read.

As always the book had twisted and turns. still love the way the author describes the characters and the surroundings in the story. hopefully in future book we will see some characters return.
