Reflections on history and navigating the present.  Interesting to see her growth of ideas and perspective over quite a lifetime so far, and the influence of a national audience.

Thus was easily a collection I could have flown through but found myself dragging my heels so that I could savor every poem and soak up the themes Harjo layers as her narrative progresses. There are a lot of favorites and many I want to teach. Approachable and informative!
