I lingered and reread over this one. Washing My Mother's Body is the best poem I have read in a year and I read a good bit of poetry.

Really good poetry gives me the same sensations as art museums. It makes me feel things, but I don't know how to articulate it. And because I'm a words person and I don't have the words to express how it makes me feel, I tend to avoid it.

I'm glad I didn't avoid this one. I want to find the words.

Also, the author reads the audiobook and I really think that's how all poetry audiobooks should be done.
