This book had me crying and laughing. Feels like a perfect ending to the series despite Osman saying he will probably write more. The murder mystery plot is enticing as always but the characters personal stories really shone through in this one. Absolutely love his writing style and this whole series.

This mystery series is anchored by four likable & engaging characters. I read the book for them more than the mystery.

Richard Oswald brought humour and dignity into what would often be considered dark and morbid themes in his fourth novel, The Thursday Murder Club. I felt an emotional rollercoaster reading this one, but without any crash at the end. 

Our four favourites -Joyce, Ron, Elizabeth and Ibrahim - are back to solve the murder of their friend, who appears to have got caught up in drug dealing, questionable antiques and other sorts of trouble. We meet new characters and say goodbye to ‘old’ ones. It has a perfect balance of being character-driven and a suspenseful, action-packed plotline. I was pleased it was left open-ended for further instalments, as I have come to adore this heartwarming series.
