Still a cozy mysterious, that was both wholesome and sad at the same time. I really love how the protagonists are pensioners and their age isn't ignored

I adore this series, and this book hit a little different. It had everything I love and expect from this band of pensioners solving crimes- wit, ridiculousness, and yet a sense of familiarity that makes the whole thing seem not quite so ridiculous. But there was also more depth and emotion in the subplots than we’ve seen in other books, and you could tell Osman was writing from some personal experiences. For me, the perfect cozy, clever mystery!

This has become one of my favorite book series, and this one did not disappoint— both extremely funny and extremely poignant as the book tackle’s important issues alongside solving murders with a cast of characters I have fallen in love with as much as the characters love one another.
