I really enjoyed this! I always like frenemies-to-lovers and this was really sweet all the way through! This has givena lot of attention Carnival festival in Trinidad and family rivalries and that fun to read.
My only real issue was that some of the dialogue passages but extremely cute read.

This is for sure a YA romance and it does several annoying tropy things that I'm not a big fan of... BUT I loved it! It takes place in Trinidad and the audiobook is very enjoyable to listen too. The characters were cute and I found myself fully invested in the story despite the silly things it did. Our two main characters have a frenemies type relationship after a poor first impression and some additional misunderstandings over the years which do continue into the now. Regardless the book was fun, and for some reason, I didn't seem to mind.

honestly, this is a good book if you're just trying to read a lighthearted story with a dedicated fmc who's "enemies" with a boy from a rival business!
