Add another Adriana Herrera hero to the list of men who could do unspeakable things (ha!). Rival office romance meets second chance with a dirty talking hero who's down bad his woman. Their chemistry was palpable in every scene.

Esmeralda is a strong, capable, woman who is ready to take control of her legacy and knows what she deserves. I love her! Her mom and tias are a fun and necessary addition to the book (the dedication for the book makes them that much more special!).

And, it's all set around a Latinx broadcasting company. The conversations around diversity throughout the diaspora are so important! As always, Adriana Herrera boldly celebrates Latinx language and culture.

Esme is competing with ex-lover Rodrigo to head her late father's studio. She's got one week to prepare a presentation that will wow the board. With the other stockholders scheming against her, is there anyone she can trust?

Adriana Herrera is an amazing storyteller. I love how she weaves the tangled pasts of the characters together for a story full of intrigue, passion, and deep emotion. Rodrigo and Esme are perfect together, and I love their vision for the studio. I wish that could be a real thing. Another great multicultural romance from Harlequin Desire!

Thanks, NetGalley, for the ARC I received. This is my honest and voluntary review.

A fast paced office romance with a Latinx theme. I enjoyed the characters and Dominican Republic food descriptions. Even though the entire book takes place during one week, Herrara does a great job of mixing in the back-story of the Sambrano family, Esme's familia and the past break-up of Esme and Rodrigo. There is a bit of very quick lust going on, but understandable given the set-up timeline. Overall, I liked this writer and look forward to her future contemporary romances.

This was so good! The drama, the sexiness, the hate-to-love/second chance romance…I am here for anything by Adriana Herrera at this point and this was fantastic.

This book gave me all my telenovela feels and drama without the over-the-top soap opera “on-camera” looks. A great, quick, steamy read you’re not going to want to put down.

I read this to be able to read the second in the series, a holiday novella and I really liked this one.
Second chance romance with some work rivalry. Twas hot and fun. The company and characters definitely set up for a great series. I am interested in more from so many characters.
