Nielsen really knows how to write. How I love this story. I truly never know what to expect completely. Beginning book 3 now, can’t wait!!

Better than the first, although you still don't get a really clear internal voice for Jaron in this one. Fast-paced and full of twists (at least some of which you probably won't see coming).

I really enjoyed reading this book! I loved the action, and I felt the story held a lot of emotion. For example when the characters were humorous and able to laugh in times of trouble.
Also when Imogen got shot by that arrow, I could feel Jaron's heartbreak through the book.

Good 2nd part of the story. Interested to see where the rest of the story goes.

Dragged a bit more than the first book but I liked Jaren even more, and each character’s development an arcs felt well deserved.

I really liked this book, I liked the first one better but this is not far away

It took me a while to finish it but it was because of my classes not because of the book.

I love Jaron, he's very smart and bold. he reminds me to Kvothe. I'm really pump to read the last book and see how this will end.
One thing it's true: Amarinda can't be queen c'mon. Imogen is the Queen! We all can see that why you Jaron can't!

It was a good read, but some things seemed too convenient...especially that fight at the end. I'm still glad everything turned out okay, but yeah, a little too cheesy in a few spots.

I highly enjoyed this book. The plot was so fun and I love all the characters and their stories. Jaron is one of the best literary men to exist and it’s amazing that he is literally so young. It’s giving aang or Naruto (my favs).
