I'm giving this an even 4.0 stars.
Jaron/Sage is still very much reckless and impulsive, and while he had a brief moment of development at the end, I felt there could have been more.
Also, it seemed as though Jaron never had an actual plan, though it was refered to a lot as if he did. I get that there will always be "bumps in the road" for protagonists, but not all of them served a purpose IMO.
