Good

Sweet story. Very entertaining from beginning to end. I really like the friendship amongst all the characters. I am looking forward to reading the next book

DNF at 5%. I loved the idea of a half-Indian protagonist, but the bad writing, the conventional characters, the lack of understandable motivation, and multiple examples of historical anachronism made me set this aside early

I rarely come across a book with an Indian heroine falling in love and finding her fairytale. And I’ve never in my life found one that features an Indian heroine in one of my favorite genres: regency romance.

Lara was unbelievably stubborn but it was one of her best traits. Her fiery nature and zest for life was refreshing and relatable. I loved her friendship with Camille and Anne, and even her interactions with Hawk and Leo, although fleeting, were sweet.

Although I throughly enjoyed the story, I couldn’t give it five stars because Wolf aka Tristan needed to be smacked upside the head so many times during this story and honestly the man did not grovel enough (or honestly at all). He messed up and needed to repent and we were cheated out of that (and so was Lara, truly). This was the biggest issue I had and I hated how quickly he was forgiven after saying such odious and hurtful things to Lara. I also felt like the writing was a bit choppy at times and I wished there was more about Lara’s time growing up in India, but that’s such a small gripe it’s nbd.

I loved the slightly over the top drama of the last quarter of the story (reminded me of the Indian movies I love) and appreciated how nicely everything wrapped up

This story was good.  The romance aspect was cute.  Their instant connection and how they couldn't be apart.  This book had a lot of racism against the FMC, and the duchess really was out to get her.

I guess I felt it dragged on just a tiny bit, the constant back and forth of "I want her, but we can't" was just too much sometimes.

It was fun. wish it could have been more slow burn and there were more banter between the couple. But it was enjoyable

This was okay… it lagged at parts of the book.
Also the historical accuracy wasn’t great. The language didn’t really reflect the time or place the book is set in which really bothered me.

The best thing about this book is that the heroine is Indian. With that being said the rest of the book just didn't grab my interest. The historical accuracy was off especially in the dialogue.
