Love this tale of finding love again. As someone who has endured long distance relationships, I found Zoya and Camille’s story especially poignant.

This is a typical cringey romance series, but the difference is that all the characters are queer. I’m so glad someone wrote this series. It’s not the world’s greatest literature, but I cannot get enough.

I wrote a whole review with quotes and everything and then the phone reset and I lost it all. So, to recap: this would have been a sweet romance if it wasn’t for the blatant fucking bisexual erasure, lord I am tired of insta-lesbians, I liked these characters but non, ma petite, you don’t go from being str8t to being a lesbian. What is wrong with being bisexual? And why won’t Harper Bliss ever put the B-word in her books?
Also the narrator Angela Dawe is an outstanding narrator and her French Parisienne accent was spot on - but why aren’t the Pink Bean books narrated by an Australian? I guess I’m also not happy about the Australian erasure. But listening to an audiobook that’s in 1st person POV and the MC and most of the other characters are Australian, they should sound Australian. ESPECIALLY when the French characters get to sound French! Ça alors!
Not sure if I’ll continue reading the Pink Bean series.

this series is cute and yes it's tropey but it's a romance series. the thing that irks me honestly is that even though each book is from a different POV they all use the same language and phrases in intimate scenes.
